07/09/2012 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Luis Perez will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.

The 27-year-old left-hander suffered the injury in the seventh inning of Sunday's 11-9 victory over the Chicago White Sox and was placed on the 15-day DL after the game.

He will seek a second opinion before deciding whether or not to receive Tommy John surgery.

Perez has made 35 relief appearances for the Blue Jays this season, pitching to a 2-2 record with a 3.43 ERA.

The 2009 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds have been released and Denver Broncos' running back Knowshon Moreno has been made the opening favorite.

Moreno was selected in the first round of April's NFL draft and is expected to carry the rushing load for the Broncos this season. And with Jay Cutler now in Chicago, Moreno might be expected to be Denver's entire offense.
